What OpStudio is designed to do
A conceptual introduction to designing work as a connected operating model.
Businesses rarely begin with one clear picture of how their work fits together. Work accumulates through decisions, habits, software, documents and knowledge held by particular people. The result can be difficult to inspect, change or hand over deliberately.
Agents make that older problem easier to notice. An Agent that is asked to act with less supervision needs the intended result, owner, boundaries and definition of done to be explicit. Without that context, it has to guess or wait for somebody to explain it.
OpStudio is designed to provide a common model for describing how work is structured, owned, performed and improved across different organisations.
This is an introduction to that model and method. It explains the ideas behind work design. It does not instruct a reader how to use a product or assert present availability.
